John can meet at a home or office and create Schematics as the basis of the intended design.  A floor plan layout and front elevation (facade) can be designed by special arrangement on site.

John is available to administer the contract with the Owner and Contractor or can visit the site at certain milestones to observe and comment on progress and suggest refinements and changes on-premises.

John Henry believes that the exterior and interior of any residence should reflect the same thinking and similar detailing.  He encourages the Architect to provide at least Schematics for the main interior spaces and can continue with extra details or work with a Designer.

If you traveled the world and have marveled at the beauty of local architecture and have said to yourself - "Wow - I wish I could live in a place like that...", then, John Henry AIA is one of the very few elite professional architects out there who can design your home beautifully, proudly, and, most importantly, appropriately + acccurately. I know - I went through ALL of them, trying to find somebody with a base of historical appreciation/knowledge combined with a heavy dose of talent. Just as the previous client had a picture of a Venetian canal-front villa as their dream home, in our case, we wanted a Franco/Russian style chateau/"dvorets" - as I am of Russian descent and love the architecture of 16th century St. Petersburgh, Russia (which was highly influenced by the French). John didn't balk at our request - in fact - he is as passionate about history as he is about architecture- and thus, he zeroed in on elements of the period style which was precisely what we had in mind. We basically changed nothing from his first renderings - it was that good!! (his hand-drawn framed sketches hang in our library!)
Our house is built, we now live in it , and we love it every day. There is NOTHING that we would change. His concept of space and volume is PERFECT. - even smaller rooms are GRAND with high ceilings and decorative architectural elements. Yes, we too, have a steady stream of photographs taken from land (and water!). My kids have gotten used to people stopping on the street to admire his work! Bravo, John Henry, Bravo!
